introduction
This is the starting point for my family's history. This is a part time interest of mine and as such, when I come across tidbits of information I will post updates to the pages that follow. As my personal background is land surveying and therefore land records, that has been the focus of my research to date outside of family members' memories and information I receive from folks that happen across the site while wandering the internet. I find the land records most intriguing, and more interesting than the rather antiseptic census records I have dealt with to date. Land records offer an opportunity to access wills and estate deeds which tend to provide more clues to aid in the overall research.
